Nguyễn Thanh Sơn

Nguyen Thanh Son is a serial entrepreneur, lecturer, author and communications expert. He is an active coach for Google’s Partners Training program, most notably Sales Masterclass and CEO training program “Elevator”.

As an investor, Son is actively engaged in communications, education and healthcare businesses. He is the founder of T&A Ogilvy, one of the top PR agencies in Vietnam; MVV Academy – Vietnam’s pioneer and leader in blendeding training; Blue Production – an indepedent film & media production company; Forinco – a cancer-focused clinic; Amigo – a pharmaceutical company and Sunny Vales – a leading digital marketing player. Son has founded and co-founded a total of 20 businesses. He is also a consultant and trainer in management, go-to-market strategy and marketing & communications for Vietnamese businesses.

A Hanoi native, Son graduated with a Master in International Journalism from Moscow International Relations Institute. He is a USIS Business Fellow (Class of 2002) and a Rockefeller Fellow (Class 2005). In 2006, he received the prestigious Asia Leadership Fellow from Japanese Government and Japan Foundation (he is the youngest fellow in ALFP’s history).

In 2012, Son founded Global Shapers Ho Chi Minh City Hub, a World Economic Forum community of bright young business and political leaders. He also serves as an advisor to the Regional Board of Advisors of the Asia-Pacific Media Alliance for Social Awareness – a media and advertising industry-led initiative for building public awareness on social development issues and achieving behaviour change.

Son is Chairman and Special Advisor of MVV Group. With more than 25 years of experience in the field, he is one of the few who laid the bedrock for Vietnam’s communications industry – a respected figure who inspires generations of marketers and communicators.
